Indrani cosmetics is a Pune based brand having a wide range of Premium products.I tried three products from this brand. Chocolate Scrub, Sal Face which is a Salicylic acid face wash and Veg Peel which is a face mask.
Check out more about this brand and product range:
- Makes your skin glow.
- Skin looks fresh after use
- Chocolate boasts wonderful stress-relieving qualities and work wonders in getting you a glowing skin by reducing elevated stress hormones.
Price: Rs 300 for 50gm
Packaging: The product comes in a plastic tub with a threaded screw cap. The container is very light weight thus definitely finds a place in my travel kit . The threaded closure is sturdy and lessens the risk of product spilling. The packaging is brown in color which so co ordinates with the fact that its a chocolate product.
Texture: The product is dark brown in color. It has a creamy texture with medium size scrub particles . The granules are just the right size for deep exfoliation.
Exfoliation is very important for healthy skin. It helps in removing dead skin , pulling out dirt from pores and improves blood circulation.
I apply a small finger scoop of the scrub on my wet face and massage it lightly in circular motion.Firstly it smells like Chocolate Heaven. Absolutely loved the fragrance . However the fragrance does fade away, post wash. The granules in the scrub are medium size, hard but not harsh. The hard grains are accompanied with rich chocolate cream. The grains help in deep exfoliation and the smooth cream prevents any abrasion. I also use it on my elbows and knees, for deep exfoliation. I feel people with sensitive and dry skin should stay away.
- Helps in removing acne.
- Cleanses your face nicely.
- Removes Pores.
- Excellent for oily or pimple prone skin.
Price: Rs 200 for 50ml
Packaging: The product comes in a plastic transparent bottle with a golden screw cap. You have to pour the face wash, so need to be careful. A pump could have been more convenient.
Texture: Its a clear face wash with a gel consistency and foams well.
Experience: Salicylic acid is well known for removing dead skin , reduces redness and swelling. Thus its very effective for oily skin which is prone to acne and pimple. This face wash is formulated on this concept and probably that may the reason of naming it Sal Face. The product also mentions that its for oily and acne prone skin.
I have combination skin with extremely oily T zone but no acne or pimple. However I did have some red pumps from past pimples. Using this face wash for some time showed difference. One thing that I noticed was, it made my skin dry, post wash.
It has a mild lime smell, which lingers for sometime. Perfect for a refreshing boost, in the morning.
- This is a perfect exfoliator.
- It removes dead cells.
- Renews the skin.
- Its recommended for oily skin.
Price: Rs 200 for 50gm
Packaging: This product comes packed in plastic tub with a screw cap. The packaging is yellow in color. Its light weight and sturdy.
Texture: This was an interesting product. Its in a powder form which is white in color. Its not very fine in texture.
Experience: Using this mask is also interesting. I take half a spoon of this powder and mix it with Rose water. You can also mix it with water or milk. Basically, it has to be converted to a paste or face mask form.
The ingredients in this mask remind me of my mother’s home remedies. Moong dal, Toor dal and Rice flour, are prime ingredients in this product. Moong dal flour helps with Tan removal and has vitamin C , which has brightening qualities. Toor Dal flour is good for exfoliating and removes scares. Anti inflammation, UV protection and Glow boost, are few of the many benefits of Rice flour.
This mask provides good exfoliation and renders a natural glow. A similar home made mask can be created however if you don’t want to take that much effort, then this is the best option. As it is for oily skin, so dryness can be expected post using this.
